70's Style at Express

So the first place I decided to start shopping for some 70’s retro looks would be the mall.  That is where some of my favorite stores to shop are, and I like being able to look at the store’s websites before I go so I know what to expect.
My favorite store at the mall is Express, because they are able to take high fashion looks and incorporate them into clothes that the average woman can wear to work, lounging around, or on a night out on the town.  Many of their looks this season are on point with the 70’s style trends we saw at New York Fashion Week.
Last year if you were looking for jeans at Express you would have found mostly skinny jeans.  This year wide leg pants are making a comeback and many of the styles at Express are a reminiscent of  70's denim.

Last year Express also offered many different patterns and styles of Maxi dresses.  This year they have made an addition, with maxi skirts, long flowing skirts that were very popular in the 70's.

Express also has plenty of accessories with a 70's vibe to go great with your wide leg pants and Maxi's.
Including floppy fedora hats, cat-eye and round sunglasses, and fringe covered handbags.

You can find all these and many more boho/disco styles at Express!

New Trend: 70's Chic

This Spring we are seeing many iconic looks from the decade of disco come back.  70's inspired looks such as maxi dresses/skirts, platform and wedge shoes, jumpsuits, peasant tops, high waisted shorts and bell bottom pants were all over the runways during New York Fashion Week.

We are also seeing some groovy accessories like floppy hats to big round sunglasses.

Just like history, fashion has a tendency to repeat itself.  It seems like the designers have borrowed the best looks from the 70’s.  You can see the disco glamour and the boho chic looks come together this season creating a must have look for Spring.
Here is some sites to check our all about 70's Spring looks!
70's looks are great and you can glam them up for a night out, or dress them down for everyday.  I think I am going to enjoy shopping for this trend and I hope I can find lots to share with you!

The last of "Pink and Orange"

So I am finally sick of shopping for “Pink and Orange”.  I was happy to find that Greenville has a lot to offer with items in this color combination.  This trend is great because there are a lot of different ways you can incorporate these colors into your wardrobe.
But before I move on to the next Spring Trend I have a few more things to share!
This headband is super cute!  Its my friend Kylie's and she wore it to work last week and once I saw it I was hoping she had bought it in Greenville.  Well she did and its from Che Bella, a quaint boutiqle off Greenville Blvd/

The following items can be found at Old Navy...

I hope that you enjoyed shopping with me for "Pink and Orange"  Look for more posts to come with a new Spring Trends to shop for!

Pink and Orange at the Greenville Mall

I think most people would agree with me when I say that the Greenville Mall is not one of the best malls out there.  It lacks some major department stores like Macy’s and there are not very many stores for shoppers to choose from.
However shop there are a few advantages to shopping at the mall, and sometimes you can find some great things there.  One of my favorite things is that they usually have a website.  I tend to browse store websites to get an idea of what they have in the store.  This saves me a lot of time because I get an idea of what I want before I go into the store.  So I browed the sites of a couple of my favorite stores at the mall and was able to find lots of “Pink and Orange.

Today I started shopping mission for all things “Pink and Orange”.  This is one of my favorite color combinations this Spring and I couldn't wait to get started.  I decided to start at Monkee’s, a local boutique here in Greenville since I had never been there before.  I’m glad I did because I was very impressed.

This charming boutique in Arlington Village is very upscale and offers many well known brands and designers.  They offer all styles of clothes along with shoes, jewelry and accessories.  I would recommend shopping here if you need to find the perfect piece to complete and outfit or if you looking to buy something for a special occasion.
During my shopping experience I had no problem finding items that were “Pink and Orange” among the stores selection of spring looks.   Here are some of my favorite things!

Spring Trend: Pink and Orange

One of my favorite things about Spring fashion is the use of bold and eye catching colors.  I love putting my dull winter clothes away and going out to shop for bright colors that this season has to offer.  This Spring many intense colors are being seen, such as canary yellow, turquoise and cobalt blue, but one of my favorite color combinations is "Pink and Orange"
It seems I'm not the only one that can't get enough of this look...

Pink and Orange has shown up in the lines of many famous designers.

Mixing and matching bright colors is a great way to make your look pop this season.  There are many colors and combinations you can choose but “Pink and Orange” are definitely the colors of the moment.  I have seen these colors together in everything from clothes, shoes, accessories and cosmetics and I can’t get enough.

I know that many of the examples I have shown are items that cannot be found in Greenville.  So I am going to start my shopping missions, going out and looking for everything "Pink and Orange has to offer.  I'll be posting what I find all week so be sure to check it out!
